Jabulani

The Adidas Jabulani is the official match ball for the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa this summer. Jabulani means “celebration” in Zulu which is one of the 11 official languages of South Africa.

Below is a video that explains the inspiration behind the design of Jabulani

and here is a video that shows how the Jabulani ball is made

I’ve been in a relationship with Jabulani since February 2010. We met in South Africa, in a department store actually. I went in the store just to browse but found much much more. Now we spend nearly every second together.  Below are photos I took from our travels around the world. I know how much she misses her hometown of Johannesburg which is why I’m taking her home this summer!

Beatiful ‘touching’ pics Francis! You got me all teary….your affair with Jabulani is the sweetest i have ever witnesed between a man and his ball (no pun intended!!!!) I dont think she would want to part with you after all those memories you shared. You must definitely take her back with you when you leave SA again. She looks so peaceful & ‘quite’ with you. ;o)
